Program Description
This internationally-recognized program equips students with essential knowledge and skills in marketing communications, management, market research, entrepreneurship, and professional selling. The curriculum emphasizes leadership, communication, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and community service through experiential projects that engage local businesses, universities, and the community. Students gain real-world experience by designing, promoting, and selling branded merchandise through The Rider Zone, Kent Roosevelt’s student-run school store. Participation in DECA’s local competitions further enhances their skills, with opportunities to advance to state and international career development conferences.  Upon successful completion of the program, students earn college credit (CTAG) transferable to any Ohio public institution, with potential credit recognition available at additional colleges and universities.
