Theater Arts Career Completer Onstage at Playhouse Square

Brianna-Marie Bell, a 2013 Stow-Munroe Falls graduate and Theater Arts Career Academy completer, made her Broadway debut in A Bronx Tale Musical. Since October, she has starred in the lead role in the nine-month national tour and was on stage in the Playhouse Square production.

Brianna shared her experiences with current Theater Arts students during her Cleveland run. According to reviews, “A Bronx Tale is bursting with high-energy dance numbers and doo-wop tunes and takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s.”

BriannaMarie’s credits include performing in the national tours of Flashdance the Musical and Beautiful the Carole King Musical. She also appeared as Cinderella in a regional Rogers and Hammerstein’s production.

According to Theater Arts Career Academy teacher David Obney, “Brianna has been working nonstop as a professional actor including a number of national tours and as a vocalist and dancer on a cruise ship.”

While Brianna-Marie was a senior in the Tallmadge College Tech Prep program, she appeared on ABC’s American Idol. She also performed with the ETC Show Choir for eight years. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
